Nanosynt is a synthetic bone replacement material, based on biphasic calcium phosphate (60% hydroxyapatite and 40% ß-tricalcium phosphate), non-toxic, radiopaque and highly biocompatible. It has an excellent osteoconductive action, being reabsorbed and replaced by living bone tissue during bone remodeling.

Conclusion

“After the completion of this clinical trial, we can conclude that, from a clinical perspective, both experimental materials are easy to handle, offer excellent manipulation for alveolar filling, and are radiopaque enough for follow-up through imaging exams.

Both materials are biocompatible and osteoconductive. They both allowed the placement of implants after 3 and 6 months without complications or implant loss and preserved the alveolar architecture. The Biomaterial Group 1 (Nanosynt), after 6 months, showed a higher amount of newly formed bone compared to the other groups. Both materials proved to be safe and effective for use in humans.”
